WORDS SHAPE WORLDS
What do we mean by this?
The phrase ‘words shape worlds’ emphasizes the powerful impact that education, language and communication can have in shaping and expanding our individual thoughts, actions and perceptions about the world around us.
More than simply impacting an individual, words may be a call to collective action.
Once an individual is awake to the power of the written and spoken word, how do they take care with their use of words, not allowing long held beliefs and perceptions to over-ride the truth before them? How do they improve the accurate collective understanding of local and global issues? How do we always tell both sides of every story?
In essence, words have power. We need to use them for the good of all.
Education
Education is the key to ensuring that every individual’s words have the opportunity to shape the world.
Where to start?
Educating an individual and their family can lead to the education of their local and wider community. Knowledge is power, and education improves transparency in the sharing of knowledge.
